Day 12: How do you envision your teaching changing over the next five years?
In five years, I’ll have ten years of teaching experience. Ten years of experience.
Wow. I’ll have it all figured out by then, right? Right?
And yet….somehow I think I’ll still be learning and changing over the next five years, and presumably the next 25 if I continue teaching.
In five years….
- I hope I’m wise and calm and even-kiltered.
- I hope I’m better at CI.
- I hope I have more creative ideas, and the wisdom to throw out old ideas and resources as they become outdated and irrelevant.
- I hope to teach some upper level courses, in addition to my novice babies.
- I hope my school’s 1:1 program will be fully implemented, and I can count on reliable tech access for every student on a school-owned device, every day.
